TicWatch Pro 3 pros and cons

TicWatch Pro 3 is a smartwatch that is fully equipped with Wear OS and it delivers everything a good smartwatch can do. A full suite of workout and tracking apps, multi-day battery life, fast performance, and a large screen with ample brightness for outdoor use. The secondary screen takes your viewing experience to the next level and keeps distractions out of sight until you want to see them. Mobvoi is asking $ 299 for this smartwatch, which puts prices above the starting prices for both the Apple Watch SE and Galaxy Watch Active2. This price is also lower than the starting prices for the Apple Watch Series 6 and Galaxy Watch3. Therefore, there are a few options to consider. The obvious choice for iOS is the Apple Watch. However, if you have a Galaxy phone, Galaxy watches have better integration with those, and Samsung's health apps have been around for longer - and their health app also has social features absent from Mobvoi. Despite this, Mobvoi has come a long way with its TicHealth suite, and the app's integration with Google Fit makes it easy to switch between the two platforms. Mobvoi is definitely not the most user-friendly app, but if you don't mind searching for things, you will crash it. TicWatch Pro 3 is a great fitness watch with a stylish and rugged look, excellent battery life and a wear OS experience complete with Google Assistant ready to help. It brings out the best of Wear OS and shows off the ability of the smartwatch, even though the OS has not yet reached its full potential.

Positives:

  • Bright AMOLED screen
  • The secondary FSTN screen is a great way to reduce distractions
  • Stylish and durable appearance
  • Battery life is excellent
  • It comes with the fastest / most efficient chipset in Wear OS
  • TicHealth has matured well

CONS:

  • The Mobvoi app needs some fine-tuning
  • Wear OS needs a major update (although soon)
  • The large size doesn't appeal to all styles
  • Weak vibration motor
