Before launching, Flight Simulator has a tutorial program. The Program requires players to learn basic commands, flight equipment, and other basics before the flight. The training was completed with a take-off and landing test. The program is designed to teach different things step by step. As an example, the fourth sequence of training teaches the landing method. It also gives 24 landing tests at some of the most popular and dangerous airports. A player's rankings depend on which center of the runway they are present. It involves feet per minute in the touchdown. It also depends upon the player’s closeness to the touchdown zone.

Flight Simulator has many helping features. Some features are:

  • AI air traffic controller and a virtual co-pilot are the essential features. These features help the player to request the landing clearance and make a checklist.
  • The assistant feature guides the player on the way with the help of arrows.
  • Besides, "Route and View Point" markers allow players to fly in the sky without fear.
  • Land path helps the player during landing. But all these features are not enabled during the test.
  • " Traveling" flight time passes, which reduces long-haul flights.
  • The active pause feature pauses the flight to explore the area.
  • Flight Simulator will also help players find faunas in the game.
  • The "Auto Rudder" feature keeps the aircraft in the centerline of runways when the player cannot control it.
  • There is also an option of accessing geographical locations to find a location.

In Gamers mods, there is a toolbar feature that helps the player to talk with the air traffic controller. The player can change the buttons on the bar. There is also a device at the top left and at the base are the Ultimate, Throttle, Engine, Fuel, Flap, and Trim tabs. Head-up performance (HUD) settings are available.
