First of all, you need a canvas for making abstract oil paintings. Then, collect the tools like brushes, palette knife, oil paints, and easel. Some painters like to keep the canvas on the floor to paint their ideas freely.

When you prefer oil paints instead of Acrylics, then you must keep it in your mind that it's a bit tricky to use. The oil paints take more time to dry and have an odor that might irritate you. If you make a mistake, it becomes difficult to correct it. So, use oil paints with a lot of care to draw a perfect painting. 

Now, it's time to start painting. If you are new to this field and don’t know which color combination you should select, then there is a solution. By color wheel, you can easily select the color combination for your painting.
