With every company involved in your CRM market, there's an RFP process that you should expect. How should your organization go about it?

We've compiled a list of the most critical RFP process questions, to make the whole thing as painless as possible.

What's the purpose of the RFP?

This can be very helpful to know that what the RFP is used for. Is the decision made to keep things generic, or do they have specific needs in mind?

In this case, it is important to have a specific starting point. If your company can't communicate their expectations with specificity, then it might be time to look for someone else.

Do you have a vendor selection or enhancement plan?

Make sure that the vendor has some sort of plan to implement what they've promised. Once you have that, make sure that they can complete the plan. It's also best to ask this question as part of the initial scope of work.

What are the pricing expectations?

Prices are always something to be aware of when you're trying to do business with a vendor. Make sure that you understand exactly what they have in mind, as well as what the cost breakdown looks like.

How will your vendor communicate with you?

The best way to stay on top of your vendor is to communicate with them regularly. It's a good idea to check in with them every quarter, to see how they're doing, and to keep them on the lookout for any issues or bugs. The longer you wait, the less likely the provider can serve them.

Are you interested in having your vendor give you some training?

It is always a good idea to keep up to date on what your suppliers are doing. A simple way to do this is to sign up for their emails, to see what they're talking about and how they're improving their product. Some vendors are also willing to provide training as a perk.

How often do you expect RFP process?

If you expect to conduct in-depth research or to get opinions from others, then you'll need a long time. If it's just looking for a vendor to do the job, it might be much faster.
